Impractical Jokers former art director, Christine Morris, left the show in 2019 to work on other productions, it does not seem like it was due to any animosity.

Overview

Impractical Jokers is one of truTV’s flagship shows and has been anchored by the creators and co-hosts of the show since its inception. The show has also managed to introduce its crew as they are sometimes invited to take part in some of the challenges.

One such beloved recurring guest appearance from the crew was that of the former art director of the show, Christine Morris.

In 2019, fans were surprised when she was referred to as the former art director of Impractical Jokers, which affirmed that she left the show. But it seems her decision was entirely hers and that she was merely in search of other productions to work on.

What Is Impractical Jokers?

Impractical Jokers is currently one of the most popular shows on truTV and stands as one of the channel’s flagship shows which first premiered on truTV in 2011.

The premise of the candid camera and skits show is, “Q, Sal, Joe and Murr are real-life best friends who love challenging each other to the most outrageous dares and stunts ever caught on hidden camera.”

However, just prior to the tenth milestone season of the show, Joe confirmed that he is taking an indefinite hiatus from the show to focus on his family in light of his divorce with his ex-wife and the mother of his two children, Bessy Gatto.

Why Did Christine Morris Leave Impractical Jokers?

Impractical Jokers’ success has hinged on the show’s hosts and comedians, Joe Gatto, James ‘Murr’ Murray, Brian ‘Q’ Quinn, and Sal Vulcano.

The show began introducing members of its crew as participants in some of the skits and pranks they did on unsuspecting people.

This included the likes of the show’s former makeup artist, Emily Amick, showrunner Pete McPartland Jr. and beloved, quirky art director, Christine Morris.

Morris is responsible for some of the most memorable and comical skits on the show. One of the fan-favourite skits she was a part of was the Supermarket Battle, which featured the crew of the show.

Seemingly one of her last appearances was in season seven in 2018 in the episode titled Another supermarket skit. In 2019, fans were surprised when she was referred to as the show’s former art director when Morris had left the show.

In a since deleted post she confirmed that she left the show but did not go into detail about the reason for her departure. It seems that Morris was looking to broaden her horizons outside of the show.

What Is Christine Morris Doing Now?

Arguably, Christine Morris’ biggest break in the industry was working as part of the Impractical Jokers art department. After her departure from the series in 2018, she continued to work in the art departments of various productions and live events.

Initially, she worked as a set dresser for shows, films, and television productions such as Lucy in the Sky in 2019, and in her most recent project she was the prop master for the upcoming thriller, Viral.

Moreover, she has also since returned to art direction as the assistant art director for the upcoming horror film, 3 Days Rising.

When Is Impractical Jokers Season 10 Set For Release?

In February 2022, Impractical Jokers announced the return of the series for a special episode after The Final Four Games in April 2022.

The episode was initially believed to be the first episode of the tenth season, but when the special episode aired featuring Eric André as a celebrity guest host in light of Joe Gatto’s indefinite hiatus, it was confirmed that the special episode is still part of the ninth season.

Subsequently, Impractical Jokers confirmed that season 10 would start airing on Thursday, 16 June with a 10-episode season on truTV.

Who Will Replace Joe Gatto On Impractical Jokers?

In light of the confirmation that the show is continuing despite the surprise exit of Joe Gatto, fans wondered if Joe would be replaced with a permanent host or not. But it was soon revealed that the upcoming tenth season would feature 10 celebrity guest hosts.

It is unclear at the moment whether this is being done to gauge which celebrity is agreeable to the fans, or if, similarly to fans, the remaining trio hopes that Joe will return in the future.

Nonetheless, the celebrity guests for season 10 were revealed to include Method Man, Chris Jericho, Brooke Shields, Jillian Bell, Adam Pally, Jon Gabrus, David Cross, Rob Riggle, Colin Jost, and more.

Final Thoughts

Impractical Jokers may be anchored by comedians and hosts Joe Gatto, James ‘Murr’ Murray, Brian ‘Q’ Quinn, and Sal Vulcano, but the show has also introduced audiences to the rest of its crew as it sometimes participates in the pranks and skits conducted on the show.

One of the memorable crew members on the show was former art director, Christine Morris, who seemingly left the show in 2018 to explore more opportunities working in various art departments for film, television, and live events. But the departure seems amicable, as she has kept memories of her time with Impractical Jokers on her social media.
